A while ago I have decided to start blogging about my favourite places to visit and photograph within Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire where you can also spend a lovely day out with your family. So here it is my first insight into one of the places you could visit this December or next year: Wallaton Hall and Deer Park situated in the heart of a beautiful Nottingham. If, like myself, you live in Derby this place is only a short drive away and definitely worth your visit.

Situated amongst the green acres of open land Wallaton Hall was build in 1580 - 1588 by elizabethan architect Robert Smythson. Head to Wollaton's official website to find out more about the history behind the mansion and surrounding it park: http://www.wollatonhall.org.uk/.

This place is not only worth visiting because of its great historical heritage but also because of an amazing open space it provides to its visitors. Green parks, the lake and trees are home to many species of birds and deers. All of this create incredible green zone for you and your child to explore and learn about the nature. Even during colder months such as December you can enjoy long walks followed by drinking hot tea and warm dognuts which are sold on site.

During my family ventures in Wallaton Park we walk for miles admiring the beauty of the mother nature and capture the precious candid moments through my camera lens. Photographying your child during exploration of the nature and in natural moments will provide you with many beautiful images. Below I am sharing with you few photographs taken during my visit to Wallaton Hall.

If you have any thoughts or experiences about Wallaton Hall that you would like to share with me please don't hestite to get in touch : martinaphotography100@gmail.com.

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas
